"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain."

Water Projects

Katanga

We completed two water projects in the slums of Katanga in Kampala, Uganda. These completed water projects provide clean drinking water for between 70,000-80,000 people. One of the water sources was contaminated and caused a lot of health issues for the people of that slum. The other project needed some construction to sustain the walls around the water source. The government leaders and the people of the Katanga village are very happy that these projects have been completed.

Mercy Junior School

For the Love of Africa Ministries  completed construction of a rain collection water project at Mercy Junior School in Kampala, Uganda. This water project helps provide much needed water for all of the students at Mercy Junior School, Mercy House Ministries, and to the people living in the surrounding village. The people of the village are very thankful for the water Mercy House Ministries freely allows them to use. Otherwise, they would have to walk a good distance to get water in their jerry cans that they use for cooking, drinking, bathing, and doing laundry.

Kampala "Borehole" Water Well

For the Love of Africa Ministries has partnered with another giver to construct a “borehole” water well in Kampala, Uganda. The project was done through the leadership of Dr. Gilbert Birungi. We are so blessed to know that this water well will help supply much needed water to the community of about 10,000 people, located in and around that area, to Mercy Junior School and boarding section, and also to Mercy Health Services Clinic. They will no longer have to walk long distances with their jerry cans to get water!
