“For the Love of Africa Ministries” (FOLA) is a 501(C)3 tax-exempt, non-profit corporation that was founded by Mary Linette in 2013. The organization, which is based out of Evansville IN, works with Christian based ministries to help provide development and support to the poor and needy in Africa. FOLA focuses its work on development, community, and self-sustainability. All programs are designed to improve the lives of an entire community. Each and every outreach initiative, that For the Love of Africa Ministries promotes, is founded upon Christian-based biblical principles. Our desire is help foster lasting change by bringing freedom to the African people who have lived in poverty their whole lives, giving them hope and a future through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and by helping them become all that God has created them to be.

"In the early 1980’s, because of the burden I had for the poor and needy, a friend and I started a ministry in the church I attended called “Helping Hands Ministry,” in which we provided food, clothing, and necessities for the poor and needy in our area.

Over a period of years, I came to realize that God had developed in me a heart for mission work, but little did I realize that I was in the “early preparation stages” for what the Lord was calling me to. God took my heart for the poor and needy, added a love for mission work to it, and combined the two of them into one by birthing a ministry in me to a far-away place called Africa..."
